這幾天NBA季後賽以外最熱絡的消息，當屬Luke Walton接任洛杉磯湖人總教練，根據《洛杉磯時報》報導，他的合約預計為5年2500萬美元，相當不錯。

Walton是湖人隊史第8位球員時期效力過湖人的總教練，上一位是1999年的Kurt Rambis，現年36歲的他也是現役最年輕的總仔。

「我一直夢想著能夠執教像湖人這樣的球隊，這種機會不是常有的。」Walton說。

洛杉磯時報透露，Walton回到熟悉的湖人，並不會主打昔日他擔任球員時熟稔的三角進攻，而是帶來他在金州勇士的所學，以空間、速度致勝。

「我愛在勇士的所有時光，以及跟Steve（Kerr）學到的東西，我永遠感謝他跟球團。」Walton說。

儘管已經談妥合約，Walton當然還是會跟著勇士征戰完最後一次季後賽。

另外有個有趣的數據，Walton本季在金州勇士代班領軍43場比賽，拿下39勝，比湖人前總教練Byron Scott近兩個球季加起來還多1勝。
